Originally from Bordeaux, Léa Gatinois embodies the inspiring journey of a passionate wine enthusiast who became a businesswoman. A former student at WiSP Campus, where she obtained her WSET Level 3 certification in wine, Léa is now the founder of Amble Wine. Here’s the portrait of a bold entrepreneur determined to make the world of wine more accessible and fun.
A Strong preparation at WiSP Campus
A graduate of the École Hôtelière de Lausanne and KEDGE Wine School, Léa Gatinois decided to deepen her knowledge of wine, her true passion. She successfully completed her WSET Level 3 in wine certification at WiSP Campus, an intensive program that allowed her to enhance her skills in viticulture, winemaking, and tasting.
“The rigor and richness of WiSP’s teachings allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the wine world and push myself academically,” she recalls.
Her journey didn’t stop there. With unwavering determination, Léa went on to earn the prestigious WSET Level 4 Diploma with distinction in London. This certification is a key step towards the highly respected Master of Wine title, which she is now striving to achieve.
The Creation of Amble Wine to Share Wine Culture
In November 2020, Léa Gatinois took a new step by creating Amble Wine. Her mission? To promote wine culture while making it more accessible, fun, and inclusive.
“Amble Wine was born from my passion for wine and my desire to share this cultural wealth in a playful way,” Léa explains.
The mission of Amble Wine is clear: to offer practical and educational tools that make learning about wine enjoyable and easy. Amble Wine quickly diversified with the creation of educational books, wine maps, and blind tasting boxes. These resources provide an interactive and engaging way to build wine knowledge.
Since 2024, Léa Gatinois has been developing partnerships, and her books are now physically available in Europe and North America.
