Yes , WSET® Level 2 Award in Wines or Spirits is accessible without prerequisites.

However,

WSET ®Level2 Award in Wines or Spirits requires basic tasting skills and product knowledge. Level 1 is, therefore, highly recommended but not compulsory to register.

WSET® Level 3 Award in Wines is available directly after the WSET® Level 2 Award in Wines or equivalent. Do not hesitate to contact our team to check course equivalencies.

The French Wine Scholar certification course requires knowledge equivalent to the WSET® Level 2 Award in Wines. Do not hesitate to contact our team to check course equivalencies.

Yes, our WSET® Level 1 Award in Wines or Spirits is ideal for new professionals or neophytes.

The qualifications offered at WiSP are not trade-oriented but product-oriented courses, i.e. they cover only product knowledge (wines or spirits). Nevertheless, all professions in the wine and spirits industry are concerned by our certifications.

Our classrooms can accommodate up to 20 people, depending on the selected room.

Yes, it is possible to postpone or cancel your training in some instances and under certain conditions. All participation conditions are detailed on each WiSP training registration form.

For courses requiring preparation, we will send the necessary study materials to your home address within 72 hours of your registration.

No, you must commit to specific dates when registering to ensure your enlisting to the closed-book examination.

VAT does not apply in continuing vocational training, i.e. for French workers (employed or seeking employment). However, it applies to students (initial training), pensioners and French non-residents.

Yes, all textbooks are available for sale. HOWEVER, if you register for a WiSP certification course, there will be no deduction when you register, as the textbooks are included in the training fees.

Yes, we offer wine-tasting kits and spirits samples to practice analytical sensory tasting at home. Contact us here for more information.

Our online courses include a textbook covering the entire course content and access to a distance-learning platform where you will find a series of modules and activities to study wherever and whenever.
Yes, you will be assigned a dedicated tutor throughout your course duration. In addition, an online forum is available for you to ask any programme-related questions.
Yes, all you need is an internet connection. The content is available on a computer (e-learning platform), tablet or Smartphone (application).

For the WSET® Levels 1 and 2 Awards in Wines or Spirits, you can take the exam online (if you have the necessary configuration and equipment) or in person at our Bordeaux campus. For the WSET® Level 3 Award in Wines or Spirits, you will need to attend the in-person examination at our Bordeaux campus.

Yes, the educational programmes are identical. Only the activities and the course duration vary. The examinations are identical, as well as the diplomas and their international recognition.
