WiSP delivers recognised wine and spirits certifications and is an Approved Programme Provider for the world-renowned WSET® (Wine and Spirit Education Trust) certified spirits education programmes. These WSET® spirits qualifications are real career boosters! Our spirits teaching faculty are all WSET® Certified Educators and working professionals who will gladly ‘distil’ their techniques and know-how through numerous tastings. Our WSET® spirits qualifications are delivered at our Bordeaux, Paris, Toulouse and Pau campuses, in English or French, and through flexible study delivery modes such as in-class or online learning, depending on your spirits course selection.

WSET® Level 1 Award in Spirits

An introductory spirits certification course that offers a first practical approach to the world of spirits. Open to beginners, amateurs and professionals. This qualification offers a 1-day course to learn about the main stills, fermentation and distillation processes used in spirits production. You will explore the main categories and types of spirits through tasting to develop an understanding of the key factors affecting flavours and aromas. You will also learn the principles of spirits storage and service. Course delivered only through online learning and in English.

WSET® Level 2 Award in Spirits

A certification course intended to provide a comprehensive level of focused product knowledge of spirits, liqueurs and aromatised wines.
This intermediate-level spirits qualification is open to professionals and enthusiasts and requires basic spirit-tasting knowledge.
This certification programme offers a 2-day course and requires an approximately 10-hour personal work commitment to learning the fundamental production methods and principal raw materials used to make the essential spirits, liqueurs and aromatised wines styles. You will also explore the key labelling practices and serving spirits principles.
Course delivered in both English and French in classroom mode or through online learning.

WSET® Level 3 Award in Spirits

WSET® Level 3 Award in Spirits is the most prestigious qualification covering all aspects of spirits.
This advanced-level qualification is directly accessible after completing the WSET® Level 2 Award in Spirits. Upon completion of this this 6-day expert course , you will master a deep theoretical understanding of the techniques used in spirits production, from the processing of raw materials to post-distillation operations (distillation, maturation and finish). In addition, through tasting and applying gained theoretical knowledge, you will be able to explain with professional confidence the factors differentiating spirits from each other through aroma, flavour and visual appearance.
Course delivered only in classroom mode and in English.
