The WSET® Level 1 Award in Wines is an introductory wine educational programme suitable for beginners. This hands-on course aims to discover the essential stages of viticulture and vinification. You will explore the main types and styles of wine, and grape varieties through sight, smell, and taste. You will also learn the principles of wine storage and service and gain basic skills in accurately describing wines and pairing wine and food correctly. After completing your course, you will be able to respond to your customers’ requests, provide them with knowledgeable advice and perform proper wine service.
The WSET® Level 1 Award in Wines is organised around seven or nine course modules, depending on the language chosen, and delivered entirely through a 4-week e-learning platform access. Modules must be followed in their original sequence for better understanding, but students can complete them at their own pace during the course duration. An estimated 12-hour study time is required, plus the necessary revision time before the examination. Regular access to and active participation in online activities are essential for this learning mode.
Accessibility of training to people with disabilities. Contact our disability advisor on 05 57 71 75 61 or by email contact@wisp-campus.com in order to study together the necessary arrangements.
