The WSET’s systematic approach to tasting gives you a universal language to describe and evaluate beers. You’ll learn to analyze every aspect of a beer: its appearance, aroma, and taste, before understanding how these elements harmonize.
These WSET beer certifications offer unique expertise and an in-depth understanding of the brewing world. They are delivered at our campuses in Bordeaux and Paris, in English, either in-person or through e-learning.
Ideal for those starting their journey into the world of beer, this beginner-level course is rich in practical activities and tastings. You will discover the ingredients of beer and the production process, principles of storage, service, and beer-food pairings, characteristics of 20 beer styles, ranging from lagers to lambics, and tasting. Offered online and in English only.
This intermediate-level diploma is perfect for deepening your knowledge, whether you are a novice or have some foundational understanding. More detailed than Level 1, this course covers the main ingredients used in beer production, the impact of production on beer style and quality, principles and processes of storage, service, and beer-food pairings, characteristics of over 60 beer styles, and the art of beer tasting. Training is offered online or in-person, in English only.
