Biography

Caro is German and has been working as a food journalist and wine specialist in her country for more than 25 years. In 2011, she became the first female Master of Wine where all German-speaking countries. In addition to her journalistic and lecturing activities, Caro is very involved in education, particularly with the Institute of Masters of Wine (IMW) where she serves as a member of the Admissions Committee and Council. She also organizes numerous educational seminars or immersions in wine-producing regions as part of her work with institutions that support/promote producers (Wines of Australia, Wines of New Zealand, VDP, etc.).

Caro is also a member of the jury of various leading international competitions such as the famous World Wine Awards of the British magazine Decanter.

Finally, she works as a consultant for the leading German supermarket chain, Edeka, advising them on wine selection. She is our Riesling Rock Star!
