Frank is a leading WSET trainer in the European wine training landscape. He started in the wine business in 1985 in the Netherlands. For the next 35 years he worked in various positions in the commercial sector: sales, marketing, purchasing and general management.
In 1992 he obtained the title of Master of Wine, which opened the door to the teaching of the WSET Diploma, which he has continued to do since 1994. It was he who introduced the WSET courses in the Netherlands in 2001. He now intervenes in 15 countries in Europe on various subjects. However, his specialty is Spain, which he loves and visits regularly. Frank is also a certified trainer of Spanish Wine Scholar courses.
Outside of teaching Frank is working as a consultant with estates in Austria and Spain. He also manages the wine department of an important chain of wine shops in Russia (O’Key). He is a popular speaker at international events, seminars and trade shows.
